We are flying to China today ... though we won't land in China until the 17th! I have a feeling this 14-hour time difference is going to rock my world. Would love your prayers for safe travel for us and especially for our two kiddos ...
Britton to do okay with being away from both of us for the first time (and for a long time), and for his grandmothers who are taking care of him in our absence.
Lia Kate who has no idea that her world is about to turn upside down. Pray that she would be resilient and that we'd be able to begin bonding and building trust with her quickly.
Thank you, friends and family, for being on this journey with us and for all your love, support and encouragement!

Danny and Emily,
Thank you for taking us(your readers)on this journey with you. It has been nothing short of amazing to read your blog and see the Lord's sovereign hand at work through the whole process. We will be praying for both of you, Britton and Lia Kate as you begin life as a family of four! What a perfect picture of the Father's love this Christmas. Thank you both for prayerfully answering the call to adopt. It has been a blessing to read your stories, see your pictures and watch as the Lord revealed His perfect plan for Lia Kate to become a Giffen. Can't wait to meet her when she comes home!
Here is a word from Aunt Peggy:
"I am praying that there is a song in Lia Kate's heart that Danny and Emily know how to sing."
We love you and are praying so much!
Love,
Julia
