Gotcha Day is Finally Here

We get Lia Katherine at 2:30 p.m. today, Monday, December 21, that's just a few hours away for us! For folks at home, it will be in the middle of your night/early Monday morning. As we anxiously approach meeting our daughter in the next several hours, I am keeping myself busy by nesting in our hotel room ... especially since this happened so fast and I didn't get to nest much at home. We are getting all of her clothes put away in drawers, getting food and toys organized, putting together her Gotcha Day bag, making a list of things we need from the "Wal-Mart" here, etc. Since we have arrived here yesterday afternoon we have seen lots of families walking around with their new precious children. It is our first time to see adoptive families in China. In fact, at the restaurant we went to last night, it was full of Americans with their Chinese children. It started hitting home then that we would be in their shoes in just 24 hours. Wow. Anyway, our driver will be here in an hour and a half to get us. We are ready!
